Account & Data Deletion — Boby's Garage

You can permanently delete your Boby's Garage account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to make the request, what is deleted, and what (if anything) is retained.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app Fastest
- Open Boby's Garage on your device.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears.
Your account and all associated data are queued for deletion immediately. The cleanup completes within 24 hours.
Option 2 — Request deletion via email If you can't sign in
- Email support@bobysgarage.app with the subject line "Account deletion request".
- Include the email address you used to register your Boby's Garage account.
- We will verify ownership and complete the deletion within 7 days.
Use this option if you've lost access to your account, can't sign in, or have uninstalled the app.
What is deleted
- Your user profile (username, email, avatar)
- All catches in your collection, including catch photos uploaded to our servers
- All grid posts, comments, and likes you've created
- All decks you've built and any custom card configurations
- Your push notification token and notification preferences
- Any spot alert preferences you've set
- Group memberships; groups you own as the sole creator are deleted, groups co-owned are reassigned to another member
What is retained, and for how long
- Aggregate, anonymous analytics (e.g. total catch counts across the platform, feature-usage histograms) that cannot be tied back to you — retained indefinitely as fully anonymised data.
- Service logs (IP-level access logs, crash reports) that may incidentally contain identifiers — retained for up to 90 days for security, fraud prevention, and debugging, then automatically purged.
- Records required by law (e.g. financial transaction records once in-app purchases launch) — retained only for the period mandated by applicable law, typically up to 7 years.
Timeframe
- In-app deletion (Option 1): account is locked immediately; full data cleanup completes within 24 hours.
- Email request (Option 2): deletion completes within 7 days of identity verification.
Confirmation
Once deletion is complete, the email address associated with your account receives a confirmation message. After deletion, the email address can be used to sign up for a new Boby's Garage account at any time.
